rekallabrate: the podcast
Welcome to REKALLABRATE, where we explore how changing the way you think can transform your life. I'm Kalla, & each episode dives into the power of authentic storytelling, embracing vulnerability, & navigating life's shifts & hard truths with courage.
Through unfiltered solo episodes and raw conversations with guests, we're here to "rekallabrate" how we approach the world, our relationships, & ourselves.
This podcast is recorded in one take with minimal editing--because life is messy, & that's what makes it beautiful.
Let's dive in & REKALLABRATE together.

PLEASE NOTE: this podcast was previously called LIGHTIN' UP & I had some awesome guests on the show to talk about everything from birth, to the music industry, to farming. As I started thinking about podcasting again, I realized that I wanted to switch my podcast name to REKALLABRATE for the sake of consistency across all platforms and my website. Less confusing, you know what I'm sayin'?
But--I didn't want to lose all of the hard work I had put into Lightin' Up, & I wanted to still keep these interviews up because they are SO GOOD! So, I have renamed my podcast to REKALLABRATE, but left the LIGHTIN' UP episodes as they are.
So, when you listen to my podcast from episode 26 and on, you will hear the podcast referred to as REKALLABRATE, and before that, it's called LIGHTIN' UP.

11 | Breaking Up With Your Victimhood | Lightin' Up with Sara Waggle
Welcome to Episode 11 of the Lightin' Up Podcast! On today's episode, we have my friend Sara Waggle of the Divinely You Podcast. Sara’s powerful message is all about breaking up with your victimhood!
All of us have plenty of reasons we could identify as a victim. Sara & I discuss how we can overcome our stories of victimhood & begin to create a better life for ourselves.
Sara also tells her story growing up low vision, among other health issues, & how she has changed her perspective & stepped into her power. Because Sara is also a tech accesibility consultant, we also talk about small ways you can make sure your instagram page (for example) is more accessible to everyone.
This episode is extra endearing if you watch it on @YouTube because my friend Kristen’s dogs make several special appearances.
Thank you to everyone for being with me on this journey. Every episode is a learning journey for me. Not to mention a lesson in self-love and acceptance! Thank you for joining me on this process & bearing witness to the truth of who I am. I love you!
Grab your candle, sage, palo santo, sweet grass, & sacred smoke, & let's LIGHTIN' UP TOGETHER!
As always, take what feels good & if it don't apply, LET IT FLY.
